SYNOPSIS
Lucy, a 28-year-old woman, is constantly hesitating about her progress. So when she finds out her school friend Carlos becomes an executive at her workplace, and her roommate Teresa prepares to go to France for a Master's degree, she feels like she's being left behind. In this unstable moment, she remembers the words from her mom and, with an impulsive decision, she takes her friend to run a similar area they explored as kids. During this adventure, Lucy rediscovers her inner child, experiencing a surreal and freeing sense of relief.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Jahaira Daga Acevedo is a Peruvian filmmaker based in Austin. She received her B.A. in Audiovisual Communication from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and is a graduate candidate for the M.F.A. in Film & Media Production at the University of Texas at Austin. She has worked in post production sound, editing and directed both fiction and documentary short films. The projects she made include four autobiographical documentaries that explore personal, poetic, and familiar stories, and two fiction short films about sexuality and immigration. Her short film Camino a casa (2023) was part of Sky Arts Film Festival 2023 and Cine Festival San Antonio 2024 as one of the nominees for the Mesquite Award Documentary. Latente (2018) was part of Muestra Itinerante at Festival de Cine de Lima 2019, Festival de Cine Universitario Render 2019, Festival de Cine Peruano en Madrid 2024, and Sala Violeta 2022.
