Four people from different parts of Ecuador tell how this sport, which is typically Ecuadorian, is played in Brussels, Belgium. Ecuavóley is played in Ecuador and has been transmitted to different generations, the Ecuadorian community has brought this intangible heritage to Brussels, this sport is also an excuse for Ecuadorian migrants to meet.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Xavier Solano is an audiovisual instructor at the Salesian Polytechnic University of Cuenca (Ecuador). Independent filmmaker, founding member of the Belgian association MemoryLab dedicated to non-formal education in documentary filmmaking for young people, since 2017. Coordinator of the Erasmus+Plotsi project (Peer-learning storytelling techniques for social inclusion). He did an Erasmus Pro internship with filmmaker Alfonso Palazón at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid in 2023. He has taught workshops and labs on documentary filmmaking in Belgium, Azerbaijan and Ecuador. In 2024 he conducted a documentary film lab as part of the eurocine festival in Panama, El Salvador and Honduras.
