SYNOPSIS
A soon-to-graduate Mexican-American college student is caught in the uncertainty of his future, facing a series of job rejections and rising self-doubt. As he navigates the competitive job market, he begins to experience strange, vivid visions that disrupt his reality—visions connected to ancient, powerful entities from his cultural heritage. As these mystical forces grow stronger, they challenge his sense of identity, pushing him to question his purpose, his roots, and the true nature of his ambitions. With his future on the line, he must confront these supernatural encounters and reconcile them with his personal journey, or risk losing himself entirely.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Marlon Rubio Smith is a Mexican-American director, cinematographer, and producer. Born and raised in Mexico City, his experiences as an immigrant have influenced a lot of the themes in his work. Some of his most notable short films include A Piece of Me (2022), the award-winning I’m New (2023), Trompo (2024), and the upcoming ¿Cuando Perdí Mi Cabeza? (2025). With a Radio-Television-Film degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Marlon is also an editor, and occasionally a casting director.
