Miami isn’t simply where the Hispanic Heritage Film Festival takes place. Miami is part of the story.
For its third edition, HHFF returns October 9–11, 2026 with BIENVENIDOS A MIAMI, a celebration of the city we call home and the cultures, journeys, and stories that come together here.
This year’s Official Selection brings 28 films from 12 countries to Miami, including 16 premiere screenings, with stories exploring family, migration, memory, identity, tradition, queer experiences, growing up, and the meaning of home. From the rodeos of Michoacán and the mountains of Colombia to Puerto Rico, Cuba, Ecuador, Spain, the Dominican Republic, and Miami itself, the lineup reflects the many voices and experiences shaping Hispanic cinema today.
HHFF 2026 opens with The Old Man and the Parrot (El Viejo y La Cotorra), Gabriel de Varona’s darkly comedic Miami tale and winner of the Made in MIA Feature Film Award at the 2026 Miami Film Festival. Closing Night brings the festival home with Tropical Park by Hansel Porras Garcia, a distinctly Miami story about a newly arrived trans woman and her estranged brother reconnecting during a driving lesson through the city.
Across three days of feature films, curated shorts programs, filmmaker conversations, and community events, HHFF invites audiences to discover stories that cross borders while celebrating everything that brings us together.

The mission of Hispanic Heritage Film Festival, Inc. is to showcase films by Hispanic-Latino filmmakers worldwide and to promote cultural awareness, education, and appreciation of Hispanic heritage, traditions, and artistic expression through public film exhibitions and related educational programming.
